Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy anything from NZ Visas is a trading name of Kauri Ridge Holdings Limited, NZBN 9429050000017(“we”, “us”). By paying you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

The most important term, first

Nothing we sell is immigration advice, and nothing we sell can be made into it. We are not licensed immigration advisers. Under the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 only a licensed adviser, a New Zealand lawyer or Immigration New Zealand may advise you on your own immigration matter. What you are buying is settlement services — help with living in New Zealand — and it expressly excludes:

  • Any advice about which visa to apply for, or whether you qualify for one
  • Any review, check or comment on a visa application, a decision or your eligibility
  • Any dealing with Immigration New Zealand on your behalf
  • Any assessment of your own immigration situation, however it is asked
  • Any effect whatsoever on an immigration decision — buying this changes nothing about your application
  • Legal, tax, financial or medical advice of any kind

If you ask us an immigration question before, during or after a purchase, our answer will be a link to immigration.govt.nz and to the licensed adviser register at iaa.govt.nz. That is not a limitation of service, it is the law.

What you are buying

  • New Zealand relocation pack — $79: A digital relocation and settlement pack: the ten things you have to arrange when you move to New Zealand, in the order that works, with document checklists and links to every official source. Delivered by email within one working day of payment, as a PDF and a web version, with free updates for 12 months.
  • One-to-one settlement session — $189: A 60-minute video call to work through your own settling-in plan — the order to do things in, what to arrange before you fly, and what can wait. Includes the relocation pack. Not currently open for payment: you can join the list and we will email you when a time can be offered. Nothing is charged until then.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and, where GST applies, are GST-inclusive.

Refunds and cancellations

  • The relocation pack is a digital product delivered immediately. If it is not what the page described, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will refund it in full — no reason needed beyond that.
  • If we fail to deliver the pack within 2 working days of payment, you get a full refund.
  • A settlement session can be moved or cancelled up to 24 hours before it starts for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, the session is treated as used. If we cancel, you always get a refund or another time, your choice.
  • The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you rights that these terms cannot take away, including a remedy if what you receive is not of acceptable quality or does not match its description.

To ask for a refund, use the contact form. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5–10 working days.

The free pages

Everything outside the paid service — the visa reference, the tools and the guides — is published information restated from Immigration New Zealand, with the source and the date on each page. We check it carefully, and it can still go out of date between one check and the next, because immigration rules change without notice. If a figure on this site disagrees with the Immigration New Zealand page it is cited to, the INZ page is right. Verify anything you are going to rely on against the source link, and tell us so we can fix it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a decision you make on the strength of a free page here rather than on the strength of the official source it points you to.

The tools

The calculators run in your browser and are arithmetic on published figures. They are indications, not decisions and not eligibility checks. Immigration New Zealand decides.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you pay is the version that applies to that purchase.
