The NZ reference directory of IAA-licensed Immigration Advisers
NZ Visas is the established reference for matching New Zealand visa applicants to advisers licensed by the Immigration Advisers Authority. Every listing is verified against the public IAA register and held to the obligations of the IAA Code of Conduct.
Why this exists
Search results for New Zealand visa help are dominated by visa-marketing networks, lookalike sites that rebrand the same offshore call-centre, and operators who are not IAA-licensed and therefore cannot lawfully provide immigration advice in New Zealand. Unlicensed advice is a criminal offence under the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, and a fast track to a declined application. NZ Visas addresses a clear gap: a single, trusted reference for identifying advisers who are licensed to act.
Listing standards
Every adviser on the directory holds a current registration with the Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) at iaa.govt.nz/register. IAA numbers are confirmed against the public register before listing and re-checked at each annual renewal cycle. Beyond the registration bar, listings are assessed on pathway specialism, fee transparency, complaint history with the IAA, and adherence to the fee-disclosure requirements of the IAA Code of Conduct.
Immigration lawyers are exempt from IAA licensing under the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act; a small number of immigration-law firms appear on the directory tagged as such. Overseas operators without IAA licensing are not listed, regardless of marketing presentation.
Editorial principles
- • Enquirer details are shared only with the two or three advisers selected for the match.
- • Fees are quoted by the adviser direct, in writing, before any engagement — never by the directory.
- • No outcome is ever predicted. Any operator promising approval is breaching the IAA Code of Conduct.
- • Unlicensed agents, offshore lookalikes, and any practitioner whose IAA registration cannot be verified on the public register are excluded.

Scope of information
NZ Visas publishes general information about immigration pathways and licensed practitioners. It is not legal or immigration advice; engage a Licensed Immigration Adviser or immigration lawyer for advice on a specific application.
