Privacy policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information NZ Visas is a trading name of Kauri Ridge Holdings Limited, NZBN 9429050000017 collects and how it is used, in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not ask for, want, or knowingly store anything about your immigration situation: your nationality, your visa status, your application number, your immigration history, your health or your criminal record. None of the free tools send anything you type to us — they run entirely in your browser and nothing you enter into a calculator leaves your device. If you volunteer immigration details in a message anyway, we will not act on them and we will delete them.

What we do collect

  • When you contact us: your name, email, the topic you chose, the page you referenced and your message.
  • When you buy the relocation pack:your name, email, roughly when you are arriving, your household shape, the town or city you are settling in, and any notes you add — so the pack’s checklists are in a sensible order. Payment is handled by Stripe; we receive your name, email and whether payment succeeded, never your card number.
  • How the site is used: pages visited, device type and approximate location, through PostHog analytics.

How we use it

To reply to you, to check and fix corrections, to deliver and support the relocation service, to process payments and refunds, and to see which pages are worth improving. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with immigration advisers, lawyers, recruiters or anybody else selling services to migrants.

Where it is stored

We use service providers that store data outside New Zealand: Stripe (payments), Notion (enquiries and orders), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email). They are required to protect your information, and sending it overseas in this way is permitted under information privacy principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020 because those providers are subject to comparable safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for 7 years, as tax law requires. Other enquiries are deleted after 2 years.

Cookies and analytics

PostHog sets a cookie to tell one visit from another. We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or third-party ad networks on this site, and there is nothing here for an advertiser to buy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you through the contact form. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
