IAA-licensed Immigration Advisers, by region

The deepest pool of IAA-licensed advisers in the country. Strong representation from the migrant communities most active in NZ immigration: Filipino, Indian, Chinese, South African. Most of the higher-volume Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) practices are here, alongside the immigration-law firms.

Closest practising base to INZ Wellington and MBIE. Smaller pool of advisers than Auckland but disproportionately strong on policy-side knowledge — many ex-INZ caseworkers who've gone independent. Sensible choice for complex appeals or Section 61 requests.

South Island's centre for licensed advisers. Strong on rural and regional employer accreditation — dairy, horticulture, aged care — because Canterbury and the West Coast pipe through Christchurch's adviser community for AEWV documentation.

Waikato hub. Most Hamilton advisers also cover Cambridge, Te Awamutu and Tauranga's outer areas. Strong on Accredited Employer pathways for the dairy, transport and meat-processing employers that keep the regional economy moving.

Bay of Plenty's adviser pool is small but specialised — kiwifruit and horticulture employer accreditation accounts for a large slice of regional case-load, alongside trades migration into the rapidly-growing residential build sector.

Tourism-hospitality and ski-industry visa specialism. The seasonal labour cycle drives most case-load: AEWV for chefs, lift operators, ski-school staff. A small but tight community of advisers who know the local accredited employers personally.

Offshore-licensed NZ adviser practising for Filipino applicants. The Philippines is one of the largest source-countries for AEWV-funnelled NZ migration, especially in aged care, construction and dairy — having a Manila-based licensed adviser who handles the local document-authentication process is a real time-saver.
